One of the most famous verses in Scripture is Isaiah 40: "Prepare the way for the Lord." It doesn't say "Prepare a place for the Lord." It says, "Prepare the way for the Lord." The difference is a place is limited, it comes to an end; but a way goes on and on. Too often we prepare God a place, but not a way. We give Him time for worship, events, and experiences. But spaces end - the Sunday high stops and you have a Monday morning low. But the key of a life for blessing isn't to prepare God places to fill, but to prepare Him a way. A way is a space that keeps going - a "derech" in Hebrew means a path, a lifestyle, a way of life. You need to turn those holy spaces at Worship Service into godly ways that go right through Monday - for blessings of God must need to flow... Give them a derech, a life of holiness, and joy. Then your innermost being will well up with a river of life when you obey the command and prepare for the Lord, a derech, a way, in your life
